Job Title: Senior Climate Risk Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Climate Risk Consultant to join our team at Timely Recruit Ltd. As a Senior Climate Risk Consultant, you will play a key role in helping our clients navigate the complexities of climate risk and transition to a low-carbon economy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Climate Risk Analysis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of climate-related risks and opportunities for our clients, including gap analyses, scenario analysis, and financial quantification of transition risks and opportunities.
  • Net Zero Strategies: Assist clients in setting Net Zero strategies, targets, and developing decarbonisation roadmaps to achieve their climate goals.
  • Regulatory Frameworks: Provide expertise on regulatory frameworks, climate policy, and pragmatic implementation strategies to support our clients' climate risk management efforts.
  • TCFD Disclosures: Support clients in preparing TCFD disclosures and financed emissions expertise to enhance their climate risk management and reporting.
  • Climate Risk Due Diligence: Conduct climate risk due diligence for private equity transactions and support in structuring sustainable finance instruments.
  • Climate Performance Reporting: Report climate performance in sustainability reports and CDP disclosures to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Carbon Footprint Analysis: Calculate corporate carbon footprints and develop Net Zero strategies aligned with SBTi targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
  • GHG Reduction Opportunities: Identify GHG reduction opportunities and integrate them into strategic climate action plans to drive business growth and sustainability.

Requirements:

  • Climate Transition Risk Analysis: Experience in climate transition risk analysis and consulting to help our clients navigate the complexities of climate risk.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proficiency in stakeholder engagement, financial modelling, and regulatory frameworks to support our clients' climate risk management efforts.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively communicate climate risk insights and recommendations to our clients.
  • Consulting Experience: Track record of delivering consulting solutions for diverse clients to drive business growth and sustainability.
  • Scope 3 Value Chain Assessment: Experience in scope 3 value chain assessment to identify GHG reduction opportunities and integrate them into strategic climate action plans.
  • Climate Risk Analysis and Management: Climate risk analysis and management, financial accounting, GHG accounting and data management, internal carbon pricing, carbon credits and removals, climate target setting, transition planning.
