We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring middle leader to join our team as Head of Year. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring an excellent standard of behaviour, attendance, and personal development for our students.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a wonderful school in a great community as part of a multi-academy trust, providing significant professional development opportunities. You will be responsible for leading a team of teachers and support staff, and will work closely with our senior leadership team to drive improvement and excellence in all aspects of school life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Develop and implement effective behaviour and attendance strategies to improve student outcomes
  • Work closely with our senior leadership team to drive improvement and excellence in all aspects of school life
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our curriculum and assessment policies
  • Support the development of our staff through coaching, mentoring, and training

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about education and committed to improving outcomes for young people. You will have a strong track record of leadership and management, and will be able to demonstrate your ability to drive improvement and excellence in all aspects of school life. You will also have a strong understanding of our curriculum and assessment policies, and will be able to contribute to their development and implementation.

All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
