Cranswick Country Foods PLC is excited to announce a unique opportunity to join our Development Team at our newly established breaded chicken facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) initiatives from the handover stage to successful launch, ensuring that products meet customer expectations during the scaling process.
  • Assist in planning and executing factory trials, which include feasibility assessments, scale-up validations, and packaging evaluations, while meticulously documenting and analyzing trial data and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Oversee the documentation and communication of any modifications to product formulations and processing parameters throughout the trial phase.
  • Coordinate nutritional assessments, shelf life evaluations, and chemical analyses to substantiate product claims and validate shelf life.
  • Facilitate organoleptic shelf life testing, including obtaining customer freeze approvals.
  • Ensure the validation of customer cooking instructions is organized and executed effectively.
  • Support the introduction of new products into production by participating in pre-production and initial production runs, leading product handover meetings, and ensuring clear communication with all relevant teams regarding product launches.
  • Develop factory documentation and Quality Assurance Standards (QAS), collaborating with NPD, Technical, and Operations teams to establish acceptable tolerances for consistent product replication.
  • Lead and participate in site development and stage-gate meetings to accurately convey product details to stakeholders while addressing any challenges or considerations arising during development trials.
  • Collaborate with the operations team on continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and implementing sustainable changes.
  • Participate in the artwork approval process by reviewing design versions and providing constructive feedback to the technical team.
  • Address production challenges and offer development support as needed.
  • Prepare trial samples for dispatch and ensure all accompanying internal and external documentation is completed accurately.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities that align with the role and respond to reasonable requests from management.
  • Uphold the Health, Safety, and Welfare standards for yourself and colleagues in accordance with relevant regulations, including the Health & Safety at Work Act and COSHH guidelines.
  • Demonstrate respect for Cranswick's ethical policies and codes of conduct in all interactions with colleagues.
  • Set a positive example by maintaining high behavioral standards.

Additionally, you will engage in any training deemed necessary by the company to enhance your ability to fulfill these responsibilities.
