About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Technologist to join our busy New Product Development (NPD) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating Critical Time Paths: Develop and implement efficient packaging processes for new product launches and amendments to existing lines.
  • Keyline Drawings and Approval: Ensure keyline drawings for new trays are accurate and present them to the NPD, Sales, and Operations teams for approval before launch.
  • Second Nature Targets: Consider Second Nature targets when evaluating new packaging projects and opportunities.
  • Customer Packaging Requests: Submit customer packaging request forms and verify correct packaging information for artwork to begin.
  • Artwork Approval: Coordinate the approval of all artwork from the artwork house through to the printer.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers on new packaging innovations and communicate with the business.
  • Packaging Supplier Relationships: Maintain good working relationships with all packaging suppliers.
  • Cost Management: Request and review the costs of new product packaging and pass them on to the Sales and Planning/Purchasing Team.
  • Quality Assurance: Check and test new packaging as it arrives on site to ensure it conforms to agreed standards.
  • Factory QAS Setup: Set up new Factory QAS's for all Retail products for the High Risk and Despatch Departments.

Requirements

A valid driver's license is essential as the role requires travel between Cranswick Sites.

Working Hours

The shift is Monday to Friday.
