About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead/Senior Product Development Technologist to join our team at BBF Limited.

As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for developing and launching new products that meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth.

You will work closely with our commercial controllers, marketing, suppliers, and customers to ensure that our products are of the highest quality and meet the required commercial targets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development, with a focus on cake decoration and celebration cakes. You will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new and existing products in line with our product launch process, from concept through to launch.
  • Work closely with commercial controllers, marketing, suppliers, and customers to ensure that our products meet the required commercial targets.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are delivered on time and to critical paths.
  • Prepare recipe information, customer documentation, and internal paperwork in line with projects and requirements.
  • Create product costings for all developments and product changes.
  • Organize and lead factory trials with operations, process, and site technical teams.
  • Work closely with suppliers and procurement on new raw materials and tender projects.
