About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Audit Assistant Manager to join our team at Rec Sense Recruitment. As an Internal Audit Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in managing the Internal Audit team and clients to ensure professional, timely, and added-value delivery of complex technical Internal Audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management: Assist in managing a range of clients, including building relationships with senior client contacts, and overseeing the team to ensure strategic and operational audit planning and delivery.
  • Risk-Based Internal Audit Strategy: Assist in preparing Risk-Based Internal Audit Strategy for a selection of clients.
  • Internal Audit Assignments: Manage, perform, and control more complex internal audit assignments, and produce high-quality written reports on work undertaken.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise team members to ensure they produce reports of a similar standard, and provide training as required.
  • Quality Assurance: Carry out Quality Assurance reviews of working papers and draft reports to ensure compliance with the Internal Audit Manual.
  • Reporting: Prepare progress and annual reports for Audit Committees.
  • Leadership: Lead and supervise more junior team members on individual assignments, and provide honest and constructive feedback to colleagues.
  • Business Development: Build relationships with clients and identify potential additional work opportunities at existing clients.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake ad hoc research projects, and ensure client data is handled securely in accordance with the Firm's and client's data protection procedures.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualifications: Professionally qualified, with proven Internal Audit experience.
  • Driving License: Possess a driving license.
  • Communication Skills: Confident and excellent written and oral communication skills, with developing presentation skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Good technical knowledge of the internal audit process and relevant sector.
  • Commercial Awareness: Building commercial awareness, and ability to lead change with confidence.
  • Teamwork: Works effectively as a team member to achieve overall discipline objectives, and able to train, coach, and develop team members.
