Standard working hours are 48 hours per week, with potential for overtime. Shifts primarily occur during the day, but evening, night, and weekend work may be required. Being part of the on-call rota is also expected, especially for those utilizing a company vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

The 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative plays a crucial role in our operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting traffic counts, communicating with clients and subcontractors, tracking timings, and reporting near misses.
  • Maintaining temporary traffic signals.
  • Installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management equipment, including cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other tools.
  • Assisting and mentoring new trainees.

Qualifications for Success:

  • SLG Unit 2 or M1/M2 qualification is required.
  • 12d Lantra qualification is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations.
  • A valid driving license with no more than 6 penalty points; any driving bans must have been lifted for at least 5 years.
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol screening; employment is contingent upon the results.
  • A positive, proactive attitude.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in work approaches.
  • Strong attention to detail.
