About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our IT team at Skipton Building Society. As a key member of our Cloud Transformation journey, you will play a crucial role in migrating our infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, driving innovation, and shaping the future of our IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into high-level designs for technology solutions across our application and data domains.
  • Collaborate with delivery and technical leads, project managers, and development & engineering teams to provide technical guidance and decision-making.
  • Provide architectural governance and assurance throughout the project process.
  • Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams, facilitating relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Strong Infrastructure and Cloud Architecture background.
  • Experience in operating in a technical role such as a Cloud or Infrastructure Solutions Architect, delivering complex and large-scale enterprise solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance, ideally within a financial services domain.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies and DevOps tools, such as Azure DevOps, Git, etc.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
