This is a dynamic role that offers the opportunity to lead purchasing activities, negotiate with suppliers, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our charity's operations.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement and Contract Management: Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including complex contract negotiations and ensuring alignment with our strategic goals, including net-zero objectives.
- Administrative Support: Provide high-quality administrative support to the Head of Facilities and Director of Finance, including data analysis and maintaining effective filing systems.
- Team Leadership: Supervise the Purchasing Assistant and oversee the approved contractor and supplier approval process.
- Contract Management: Maintain and review a facilities contract register to ensure optimal terms and value for money.
- System Integration: Integrate purchasing and supplier information into our systems, such as CMMS and SharePoint.
- Experience: Relevant experience in purchasing or procurement, with a strong background in managing complex contracts and supplier relationships.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to sudden demands. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to draft reports, negotiate contracts, and build effective relationships with suppliers.
