ICT/AV Support Specialist

Job Summary

The Moray Council is seeking a highly skilled ICT/AV Technician to provide technical support services to all departments, members of staff, pupils, and other stakeholders in the school.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in a minimum of one area of ICT/Technical/AV and be qualified to HNC level in a relevant field, such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering or ICT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized ICT and AV support services to meet the technical needs of the school
  • Ensure the health and safety of staff, pupils, and visitors by adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Manage and maintain inventory of technical equipment and materials
  • Develop and deliver in-service training and professional development programs for staff
  • Manage financial resources and make informed decisions regarding technical purchases and upgrades

Requirements

  • Expertise in a minimum of one area of ICT/Technical/AV
  • Qualifications in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, ICT, or equivalent
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of software applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and internet access
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and carry computer hardware in accordance with moving and handling regulations

Working Arrangements

This is a temporary appointment for a period of 6 months, working 21.75 hours per week, 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).
