Job Description

Job Title: Senior CPU Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CPU Architect to join our team at European Tech Recruit. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing a new and competitive CPU architecture, as well as defining interfaces between hardware, firmware, and operating systems for systems based on it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a new CPU architecture, including defining interfaces between hardware, firmware, and operating systems.
  • Work with a wider team of experts and architects to ensure client interests and requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with the team to bridge architectural excellence and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of CPU architecture and micro-architecture features, including caches, MMU, SMP, coherency, and CPU pipelines.
  • Familiarize yourself with the ARM/RISC-V/MIPS architecture and the micro-architecture of current ARM/RISC-V CPU cores.
  • Develop strong skills in modeling microprocessors using higher-level languages like C/C++.
  • Prior experience with technologies such as AVX, SVE, SME, CCA, and Morello/CHERI is highly desirable.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Working experience within the software development space, including C programming and knowledge of low-level assembler programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of CPU architecture and micro-architecture features.
  • Familiarity with the ARM/RISC-V/MIPS architecture and the micro-architecture of current ARM/RISC-V CPU cores.
  • Strong skills in modeling microprocessors using higher-level languages like C/C++.
  • Prior experience with technologies such as AVX, SVE, SME, CCA, and Morello/CHERI is highly desirable.
