We are seeking a seasoned Lead DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS to join our client, a leading tech company, in their transformation towards AWS from Heroku.

As the first DevOps hire in the business, you will work in a small engineering team of 5 to bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring efficient software delivery and a highly reliable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy that aligns with business objectives
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
  • Champion the use of cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
  • Implement and manage configuration management tools
  • Oversee infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and resolve deployment issues
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest DevOps trends and technologies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Expert knowledge of AWS
  • In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles and methodologies
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools Proficiency in scripting languages
