About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Applications Manager to join our IT Team at Sunbelt Rentals Careers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take a hands-on approach to configuration changes and be responsible for planning and managing platform upgrades / patches, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions to updated versions, along with planning and prioritising enhancements with business owners.

You will work closely with the Test Manager to develop regression test plans, and where possible automate these to maximise efficiency of the process using a risk-based methodology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximise value from core SaaS / COTS platforms
  • Proactively plan and manage a forward schedule of work, relational to upgrades and enhancements
  • Make configuration changes to platforms
  • Ensure best practice is embedded and followed relational to implementations and configurations of platforms, with a key focus on security and operational efficiency
  • Liaise with other key stakeholders and teams
  • Engage with the Change board to ensure properly managed and approved deployments
  • Develop and build relationships with business product owners and stakeholders
  • Liaise with vendor manager on renewals & licensing requirements
  • Manage Role and persona configuration, review and monitor allocations ensuring compliance
  • Work with Infrastructure and Security teams to setup and manage Monitoring tooling across products where possible and appropriate

This role offers hybrid working arrangements, with occasional travel to the central Support Office (Birchwood Park, Warrington)
