Position Overview

Role Summary:

We are seeking an Apprentice Construction Plant Engineer eager to embark on a rewarding career in Heavy Plant engineering. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, this position will provide you with the opportunity to acquire and develop skills essential for a successful career in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

In conjunction with your ongoing academic studies and site visits, your daily responsibilities will include:

Collaborating as part of a close-knit team in a workshop setting, working on a diverse array of technologically advanced machinery while gaining hands-on experience under supervision.

You will gain insights into the following areas:

  • Major repair tasks.
  • Understanding of various components.
  • The significance of teamwork and effective communication.
  • The advantages of strategic planning and scheduling for repair assignments.
  • Functionality of key components.
  • Preparation prior to disassembly.
  • Conducting internal inspections of disassembled parts according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Recognizing the importance of administrative support and associated responsibilities.
  • Installation of MDiG equipment.

Educational Requirements:
