About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at University Hospital Plymouth NHS Foundation Trust. As an ICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized care to patients in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition, taking prompt action to address any concerns.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital environment within the last 3 years.
- Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
- Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines.
