Job Title: Head of Rent and Service Charges

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our team at THE HYDE GROUP as the Head of Rent and Service Charges. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with extensive experience in setting rents and preparing service charges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement income generation strategies that align with our company goals and objectives.
  • Rent and Service Charge Management: Oversee the setting, management, and administration of rents and service charges.
  • Change Management: Drive and manage change initiatives to improve processes and outcomes within the rent and service charge function.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor the income management team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Financial Acumen: In-depth understanding of rent and service charges within the social housing sector.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Financial Analysis: Ability to convey complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer Service: Proficiency in addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints effectively.
  • Income Management: Experience in setting and managing income streams, including rent and service charges, is highly desirable.
