Fine Art Warehouse Packer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fine Art Warehouse Packer to join our team at Red Recruit. As a Fine Art Warehouse Packer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient packing and crating of artworks for transportation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Pack Artworks: Carefully inspect artworks to determine the best packing and crating methods to ensure their protection during transit.
  • Liaise with Team Members: Collaborate with warehouse operators, art handlers, and logistics staff to ensure efficient workflow and on-time deliveries.
  • Handle Paperwork: Efficiently manage paperwork such as bills of lading, labelling, timesheets, and detailed condition reports with photos.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of packed artworks, ensuring proper labelling and documentation to track their movement within the warehouse.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized to ensure the safety of stored artworks.
Requirements:
  • Previous Experience: Must have previous experience in art handling, fine art packaging, or related fields.
  • Physical Fitness: Good physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of Art: Knowledge of art and an appreciation for its value would be an advantage.
