About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Packer to join our team at Red Recruit. As a Warehouse Packer, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently packing and crating artworks of various sizes and mediums for transportation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Artwork Inspection and Packing: Inspect artworks to determine the best packing and crating methods to ensure their protection during transit.
  • Collaboration with Team Members: Liaise with warehouse operators, art handlers, and logistics staff to ensure efficient workflow and on-time deliveries.
  • Paperwork and Documentation: Handle paperwork such as bills of lading, labeling, timesheets, and detailed condition reports with photos.
  • Record Keeping and Organization: Maintain accurate records of packed artworks, ensuring proper labeling and documentation to track their movement within the warehouse.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized to ensure the safety of stored artworks.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in art handling, fine art packaging, or related fields is preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of art packing materials, techniques, and best practices, as well as excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Physical Demands: Good physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of Art: Knowledge of art and an appreciation for its value would be an advantage.
