About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at BAM Building, where you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on contractual matters, including general and project-level issues.
  • Process contractual claims and maintain associated records.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize revenue and reduce costs, and investigate losses.
  • Assist with project cash management.
  • Provide advice and support with project correspondence.
  • Negotiate subcontract and supplier prices and terms.
  • Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare subcontract and supplier documents.
  • Prepare and review monthly cost reports.
  • Review and update risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets on a monthly basis.
  • Variations: measurement and pricing.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects.
  • Ability to work on large-scale, high-headcount construction sites and with subcontractors.
  • Liaise with Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager when dealing with internal stakeholders and client representatives.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site.
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.
