Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in Wakefield. As a SEN specialist, you will be working with secondary-age pupils who require additional support.

About the Role:
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, SEMH, and complex behavioural difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans.
  • Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being.
About You:
  • Be a confident and empathetic educator, able to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Have experience working with students with special educational needs or a passion for supporting neurodiverse learners.
  • Be proactive and take initiative to develop your skills and knowledge in supporting pupils with complex needs.
