We are seeking an experienced Immunotherapy Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a key member of our acute oncology nursing team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Immunotherapy service.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement innovative pathways for patients with immunotherapy-related toxicities, working closely with the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) teams to reduce hospital admissions.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to improve the care of emergency cancer patients, exploring new ways to work together and share best practices.
- Provide expert advice and support to colleagues on acute oncology issues, ensuring high standards of patient care and management.
- Lead and support the Acute Oncology CNS teams across all four sites, promoting excellence in practice and contributing to the development of our nursing teams.
- Translate national and local policies into local specialist practice, implementing changes to policies and guidelines as needed.
- Develop and lead the audit agenda in Immunotherapy and Acute Oncology, ensuring robust data collection and analysis.
We are looking for a candidate with a Master's in nursing, including advanced clinical practice skills, and experience in cancer nursing and SACT. You should have a strong background in teaching, assessing, and presenting, as well as change management and negotiating skills. A teaching qualification and evidence of quality improvement initiatives are desirable.
