Immunotherapy Support Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Immunotherapy Support Coordinator to join our team at Transformation Unit. As a key member of our acute oncology nursing team, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with cancer who are experiencing side effects of their treatments or presenting to the hospital in an unplanned way.
Main Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with the Band 5 coordinator in IO and AO to provide administrative support and capture data for annual reports and audit proformas.
- Provide a link between IO/AO teams and work closely with allied health professionals to ensure timely and accurate referrals are made to appropriate services.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients and their families, upholding the values of the organization in delivering empathic, kind, and sensitive care.
- Ensure people who contact the service are aware that they can access and signpost to a range of Macmillan services.
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths
- Educated to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of competency
- Relevant experience in health or social care setting / demonstrable transferable skills
- Experience of working within a diverse team
- Familiar with and confident using databases such as Outlook, Excel, and other packages
- Confident to be able to support people with life-changing news
- NVQ Level 4 in relevant topic
- Participation in audit
- Knowledge of healthcare environment and cancer pathways in a work setting
- Advanced Communication Skills Training Level 2 Psychological Skills Training
- Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role)
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues
