Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Greenkeeper to join our Greenkeeping team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of golf course maintenance, ensuring our courses meet the expectations of our discerning golfers.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the golf course set-up each morning, adhering to our maintenance standards.
- Apply fertilisers and chemicals as necessary to maintain the health and appearance of the golf course.
- Conduct regular spot checks of the golf course, including tees, fairways, rough, approaches, greens, pitch-marking, and holes.
- Supervise the golf course maintenance teams, ensuring they adhere to our high standards.
- Undertake the mowing of greens, fairways, and tees, as required.
- Assist in the planning and execution of weekly maintenance schedules, including cutting, bunker maintenance, hole changing, and stock checks.
- Collaborate with the Head Greenkeeper to oversee work programmes and ensure the golf course is maintained to the highest standards.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Greenkeeper who is passionate about their work and able to work independently and as part of a team. You will need to have:
- NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications.
- Relevant machinery training.
- Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
- Proven experience in a supervisory role.
- Chemical Biology and Fertiliser Knowledge.
- A valid driver's licence.
