About the Role

This senior position within our Greenkeeping team will oversee the daily maintenance of our golf courses, ensuring world-class standards are met. The successful candidate will assist the Deputy Head Greenkeeper in course set-up, supervise staff, and apply fertilisers and chemicals as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in golf course set-up each morning, adhering to maintenance standards.
  • Apply fertilisers and chemicals to the golf course as necessary.
  • Conduct spot checks of the golf courses, including tees, fairways, rough, approaches, greens, pitch-marking, and holes.
  • Ensure golf course standards are maintained by the teams.
  • Supervise golf course maintenance teams.
  • Undertake mowing of greens, fairways, and tees.
  • Assist in planning weekly tasks, including cutting schedules, bunker maintenance, hole changing, stock checks, and general course maintenance.
  • Assist the Head Greenkeeper in supervising work programmes.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
About You

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual with a passion for golf course maintenance. The ideal candidate will have:

  • NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications.
  • Relevant machinery training.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role.
  • Chemical Biology and Fertiliser Knowledge.
  • A valid Driver's Licence.
