About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our friendly, award-winning team as a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Avery Healthcare.

As a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, your focus will be to provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being, promoting the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
  • Plan and submit a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview to the Home Manager.
  • Arrange activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
  • Maintain a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.

Our ideal candidate must have:

  • Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.
  • Experience organizing activities and events.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  • A positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
