About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the success of our 4-rosette restaurant, Tassili, and will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in the planning, preparation, and presentation of menus
  • Supervise and train junior members of the kitchen team
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and recipes
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to achieve kitchen targets and objectives
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a Michelin-starred or multi-rosette restaurant
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen management and food safety procedures
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
