MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree Qualified and Chartered Civil Engineer
Extensive experience in significant projects for diverse clients across various construction sectors
Proven track record in managing projects, budgets, and resources effectively
Proficient in preparing both technical and commercial proposals

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage assignments both domestically and internationally
Collaborate with Market Sector Directors to identify and cultivate business opportunities, prepare tenders, and foster client relationships
Support the development and maintenance of high technical standards to deliver targeted service offerings
Provide engineering solutions and communicate results to management and clients
Oversee staff time and budget adherence against project timelines and implement necessary corrective actions
Assist in managing the design process, potentially involving other related design disciplines and teams
Coordinate design efforts within an internal team and liaise with external professionals and clients
Facilitate the organization and management of technical staff, acting as a line manager as needed, and support recruitment, training, CPD, and the implementation of best practices
Guide Graduates through the processes and requirements for achieving their Chartership
Ensure appropriate resources are allocated for successful project delivery, maximizing fee income
Establish procedures for standardizing work products and deliverables, and conduct peer reviews to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery
Adhere to company procedures in the management, delivery, and administration of services
Maintain strong interdepartmental relationships within the firm
Adapt to organizational changes and influence others to adjust their behaviors and attitudes as necessary
Understand and align with company values and business plans, recognizing your contribution to both
Uphold the Company Health & Safety Policy and Environmental Policies in all activities
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned

KEY EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Professionally qualified and Chartered Civil Engineer, preferably with a postgraduate qualification in a geotechnically relevant field
Significant experience at Assignment Manager and Designer level with a proven capability in managing and delivering projects on time and within budget
Competent in managing the legal and contractual aspects of engineering contracts
Strong understanding of geotechnical and engineering geological processes and design, with a focus on data interpretation, design & analysis, construction, and advanced numerical modeling
Comprehensive geotechnical design experience, including deep and shallow foundations, deep excavations, basements, retaining structures, earthworks, slope engineering, ground improvement, seismicity, liquefaction, and instrumentation
Experience in ground investigation, including design, preparation of tender documents, supervision, and interpretation
Knowledge of geomorphology, coastal, and maritime engineering is advantageous
Familiarity with basic engineering work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating
Experience primarily in large-scale, high-profile infrastructure projects for a variety of clients across different construction sectors
Proven ability to establish, maintain, and enhance client relationships
Demonstrated success in business development, achieving set objectives and company targets
Experience in people management, including employee welfare, appraisals, training, and recruitment activities is beneficial
Capacity to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within assignments

IT SKILLS
Proficient in 2D and 3D finite element analysis software (e.g., PLAXIS, Z-soil)
Skilled in other geotechnical software (WALLAP, LPile, APile, Slide, gINT, or equivalents)
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experienced in 2-D and 3-D computer-aided design and engineering tools.
