Procurement Specialist

**What does this team do?**
Our purchasing department plays a vital role in ensuring the success of Randox Group. They undertake efficient acquisition and procurement of goods and services, sourcing and acquiring a variety of goods required to ensure positive outcomes for our clients and customers.
**Location and Contract Details:**
* Location: Randox Laboratories
* Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent
* Working Hours/Flexibility: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 4x9Hrs, with half day Friday (4hrs)
**What does the role involve?**
This role is tasked with the buying operations within the purchasing department. Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparation and placing of supplier orders.
2. Sourcing of potential new suppliers.
3. Providing/cross-checking of supplier invoices against orders placed.
4. Maintenance of accurate purchasing records.
5. Ensuring all incoming goods are delivered on time.
6. Maintenance of service contracts.
**Requirements:**
* Qualified to degree level: Life Science or Business-related courses.
* Awareness of principles of lean manufacturing.
* Willingness to travel, meeting suppliers/customers.
* UK Driving license.
* Eligibility to work within the UK.
**Desirable Qualifications:**
* Purchasing related qualification.
* Understanding of Total Quality Management.
* Working knowledge of Health and safety.
