Our team of experts undertakes efficient acquisition and procurement of goods and services, driving business growth and profitability.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Purchasing Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for buying operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services in accordance with established procedures and departmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and placement of supplier orders
- Sourcing of potential new suppliers
- Verification of supplier invoices against orders placed
- Maintenance of accurate purchasing records
- Ensuring timely delivery of incoming goods
- Maintenance of service contracts
Requirements
- Qualified to degree level in a Life Science or Business-related field
- Awareness of lean manufacturing principles
- Willingness to travel and meet with suppliers and customers
- UK Driving license
- Eligibility to work within the UK
Desirable Qualifications
- Purchasing-related qualification
- Understanding of Total Quality Management
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety
