Overview:
At Babcock, we are dedicated to fostering a secure environment, and as a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will contribute significantly to our mission at our Bristol site, with opportunities for travel across various locations in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Cybersecurity Specialist, your primary focus will be to deliver exceptional Information Assurance (IA) support throughout the Missions Systems division.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of the Mission Systems Information Security Management System (ISMS) and pursuing ISO27001 Certification.
  • Facilitating the execution of initiatives aimed at achieving ISO28001 Certification.
  • Conducting both internal and external audits to uphold the ISMS.
  • Managing documentation and records related to IA Policies and Processes to support ongoing ISMS and ISO Certification.

Additionally, you will provide vital support to both internal and external stakeholders, fostering transparent relationships aimed at resolving issues promptly and developing tailored plans to meet customer needs.


Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, requiring 37 hours per week, with regular travel across various internal and client sites in the UK, complemented by flexible home working arrangements.

Essential Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in providing customer-facing advice and guidance on ISO27001 or ISO28001.
  • A comprehensive understanding of computer and network technical architecture.

Educationally, candidates should ideally hold a degree in a relevant field or be working towards one, accompanied by pertinent experience.


Security Clearance:

The successful applicant must be a sole UK national capable of obtaining and maintaining Security Check (SC) clearance for this position, with the potential to achieve Developed Vetting (DV) clearance if necessary.

Note that many roles within our organization are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions, which may affect eligibility based on various factors.
