Job Description

Vallum Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Pricing to lead and grow our Pricing function. This is a key role that will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Manage and oversee the pricing process, including policy development, tool suite management, inflation studies, and control processes.
  • Lead and manage a team of actuaries and analysts to support the underwriting referrals workflow and ensure timely delivery of standard and bespoke pricing models.
  • Provide technical leadership and challenge to the business, as well as coaching and development of the analyst team.
  • Embodies and fosters a commercial mindset and a culture of integrity, accountability, high-performance, and teamwork.
Requirements:
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to build productive relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Proven management experience, adept at negotiating, prioritizing, and delegating, and building and optimizing control processes.
  • Experience in and comfortable using programming languages such as SQL, Python, and VBA.
