Main Responsibilities

As a Gynaecology Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing clinical care and administration for the management of a Gynaecology caseload. This will involve developing and sustaining relationships with patients, carers, and interdisciplinary teams across care settings and traditional boundaries to maintain effective communication and exchange of information.

You will be required to triage Gynaecology referrals, undertake independent clinics alongside a supervising senior clinician, and deliver outpatient procedures. Additionally, you will develop skills to offer nursing support for day-case procedures within a community clinic setting.

Person Specification
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations due to patient, colleague, and workload needs.
  • Risk management awareness and able to assess clinical risk.
  • Experience of working within a Gynaecology setting.
  • Experience of working within a similar environment within primary/secondary care.
  • A strong understanding of multi-disciplinary and/or multi-agency working within a community setting.
Qualifications
  • NMC Registered Nurse.
Skills
  • Post-registration experience as a Gynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist.
  • Knowledge of the management of women's health Gynaecology cancers.
  • Skills to competently assess, manage, and investigate Gynaecology cancer and related conditions.
