About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant, providing support to our students with autism and complex needs. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in helping our students achieve their full potential and reach their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with autism and complex needs in a classroom setting, providing individualized attention and care.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized education plans, ensuring students receive tailored support and accommodations.

Requirements

  • GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
  • Previous experience in care and supporting autistic teenagers with learning disabilities and complex behavior.
  • Knowledge and understanding of autism and therapeutic parenting techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating a mature and non-judgmental approach.
