M&E Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Spencer & James. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing costs and ensuring projects stay within budget while meeting quality standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Management: Prepare and monitor budgets, manage variations, and conduct value engineering to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Procurement: Tender, negotiate, and award M&E packages, and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to ensure accurate pricing and delivery.
  • Contract Management: Administer contracts, manage interim payments, and resolve disputes to maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with M&E projects to minimize delays and cost overruns.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record of managing costs and delivering projects on time.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks associated with M&E projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals and objectives.
