We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Manager to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions. As a Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all engineering activities within our data centre, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability of critical infrastructure systems.
Main Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime and maintain uptime SLAs.
- Safety Protocols: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including facilities management, IT operations, and security to address issues and optimize data centre operations.
- Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships and contracts for equipment procurement, maintenance services, and technical support.
- Documentation: Maintain technical documentation within the data centre including SOPs/EOPs/MOPs, Electrical safety rules and risk assessments.
- Capacity Planning: Participate in capacity planning and expansion projects to support the growth of the data centre infrastructure.
- Incident Management: Act as a company HVAP and be available as the 1st point of escalation for any incidents or issues.
- Qualifications: Qualifications in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in data centre operations or a similar IT infrastructure environment.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and managing technical teams.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, security, and network systems.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
