Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying funding opportunities, developing compelling proposals, and ensuring the successful implementation of projects aligned with People in Need's mission and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research on potential funding sources, including foundations, government agencies, and private donors.
  • Develop high-quality grant proposals that clearly articulate project goals, methodologies, and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborate with programme staff to design and implement projects that address the needs of target communities.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, ensuring adherence to donor requirements and organizational standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in international development, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in grant writing and proposal development.
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language proficiency is an asset.
