We are seeking a motivated Area Sales Manager to join our Sales team, focusing on the UK market and reporting to the Sales Manager for Northern Europe. This role is essential in ensuring outstanding customer interactions, in line with our core values and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the TOMRA team to deliver seamless customer interactions and contribute to ongoing process enhancements.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for business expansion based on market trends and TOMRA's competitive standing.
  • Develop new business opportunities within the assigned market territory.
  • Act as a trusted consultant to clients, utilizing a consultative sales methodology to uncover needs and provide customized solutions.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements, competitive environments, industry developments, and customer preferences through proactive research and planning.
  • Implement organized sales strategies to effectively meet sales objectives.
  • Engage with clients, maintain a healthy project pipeline, and ensure successful conversion of prospects into orders.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to achieving results and fostering success.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions to internal teams to ensure continuity and quality throughout the sales journey.
  • Enhance TOMRA's brand presence and improve customer satisfaction through exceptional service and support.
  • Collaborate with Pre-sales Engineering to gather insights from customers and improve product offerings.
  • Manage relationships with agents and oversee pipeline management initiatives.
  • Provide constructive feedback to colleagues to support their professional development.

Qualifications:

About You:

  • Hold a higher technical, commercial, or industrial engineering qualification.
  • Possess strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and structured problem-solving abilities.
  • Be an effective networker, capable of engaging with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Results-driven and adaptable to evolving market conditions.
  • Have experience in selling large capital equipment and managing lengthy sales cycles.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Experience in the capital goods and food industry sectors is a plus.
