Head of International Wholesale/Global Access

Role Overview

The Head of International Wholesale/Global Access will be responsible for leading the export wholesale division, driving financial performance and growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and account management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategies to drive financial growth and performance of the export wholesale division.
  2. Manage and coach a team of account managers to achieve individual targets and deliver a world-class customer experience.
  3. Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients through an account management approach.
  4. Identify, qualify, and manage new leads in conjunction with account managers.
  5. Provide sales reporting and insights to senior management, including sales figures, account planning, and opportunity management.
  6. Account manage a smaller portfolio of clients.
  7. Travel globally to visit clients and pharmaceutical exhibitions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A graduate degree with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  2. Flexibility and adaptability to the changing requirements of the business.
  3. Strong pharmaceutical industry export experience, either in wholesale or manufacturing.
  4. Experience of account management for clients with both large and medium revenue spend.
  5. A proven track record of managing a balanced pipeline of short-term tactical opportunities to long-term strategic engagements.
  6. Able to develop a network of senior and middle management contacts.
  7. Strong sales and opportunity management skills across the full sales cycle.
  8. Experience of creation and implementation of strategic and tactical customer account plans.
  9. Experience of financial reporting/forecasting and sales opportunity management to senior management.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and CRM and ERP systems.
