About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic HE Lecturer to join our team. As an HE Lecturer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and delivering innovative and responsive learning development programs that empower students to achieve their maximum academic potential.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver multi-strategy programs of learning development that respond to the needs of students across the School of Business.
- Support the learning needs of students, delivering engaging sessions that promote academic success and personal growth.
- Provide tutorials and workshops for individuals and small groups of students, focusing on developing academic writing and critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with academic teams and professional support departments to identify and enhance opportunities for learning development.
- Develop creative learning and teaching resources to support student learning and academic progress.
- Deliver CPD sessions to academic and professional support staff to develop best practice in learning development and personal tutoring.
- Consult with subject tutors and liaise with colleagues to identify and support students with Specific Learning Differences (SPLDs).
- Contribute to the development of pedagogical initiatives, resources, and training to support transition into HE, widening participation, and pre-sessional activities.
- Keep up-to-date with current scholarship and research related to Learning Development and engage with relevant professional networks.
- Educated to Degree level, preferably with a Business Degree.
- Teaching Qualification.
- Experience in teaching or working in a Higher Education context.
