Role Overview

As a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for: Performing scheduled maintenance tasks on mechanical systems in accordance with organizational standards and protocols, including various pumps, control systems, automatic valves, and measurement equipment. Diagnosing equipment malfunctions and executing repairs. Offering technical guidance, utilizing current technical knowledge. Assisting in the training of technical apprentices as necessary.

Work Environment

This position is based at a designated site, with a standard workweek of 38 hours from Monday to Friday, operating from 7:30 am to 3:36 pm, along with participation in a standby rota that includes additional compensation.

All necessary tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and transportation will be supplied.

Qualifications and Skills Required

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Physical fitness is essential, as the role involves working in confined spaces, with appropriate training provided. Awareness of health and safety regulations is crucial. Willingness to join a 24/7 on-call rota after completing the necessary training and assessment, with additional remuneration. A valid driving license is mandatory.

Benefits Offered

Competitive salary up to £36,800 per annum, commensurate with experience and skills. 24 days of annual leave, increasing to 28 days with tenure, in addition to public holidays. Contributory pension scheme with a maximum employer contribution of 12% based on employee contributions. Standard working hours: 38 hours per week.
