Job Summary:

Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to take on the role of Clinical Lead for our Inpatient Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our occupational therapy team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide consultation and assistance to the lead consultant regarding the therapeutic programme on the unit, ensuring that occupational therapy services are aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the hospital.
  • Patient Engagement: Engage patients on the unit in helpful, therapeutic, and meaningful activities, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Treatment Planning: Manage and coordinate individual treatment plans for occupational therapy and activities, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and effective care.
  • Assessment and Treatment: Provide 1:1 OT assessment and treatment, using evidence-based practices and techniques to promote patient recovery and independence.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues, ensuring that clinical practice is in line with Spencer Clarke Group policies and procedures, and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards.
  • Organizational Skills: Provide excellent oral and written communication, and possess exceptional organizational skills, ensuring that patient care and services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Must have at least a Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent, and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
