We are currently in search of a proactive and seasoned Industrial Refrigeration Operations Manager to oversee our IREF service division.

Key Responsibilities

The IREF Operations Manager role is integral to our Building Technologies & Solutions sector at Johnson Controls. You will manage the daily functions of our thriving IREF service division, while also guiding and mentoring technicians who perform service tasks for our clientele in surrounding regions.

The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, a proven history of success in managing an IREF service operation, overseeing technicians, and handling P&L responsibilities within an Industrial Refrigeration context. We seek a hands-on and strategic collaborator to expand the business and work closely with our teams and clients.

Utilizing your technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and customer-focused mindset, you will lead a team of proficient technicians to provide outstanding service.

How You Will Achieve This

As the Industrial Refrigeration Operations Manager, you will have the authority to make decisions and effectively manage key accounts while navigating through some uncertainty. You will be responsible for juggling multiple priorities simultaneously, leveraging your exceptional planning, organizational, and sales abilities. A critical aspect of your role will involve mapping the customer network, comprehending the entire organization, and crafting a tailored account strategy. You will foster and develop relationships and implement a proactive approach to ensure our clients recognize the true value of our integrated solutions.

This position is hybrid, combining office responsibilities with customer engagements, as required by business needs.

Qualifications We Seek

  • Ability to manage, influence, and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial refrigeration, including leadership or managerial roles.
  • Technical expertise and knowledge of Industrial Refrigeration Systems in both industrial and commercial settings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication, with the capability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and enhance operational efficiency.
