Job Title: Lead English Educator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead English Educator to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading the development of the English curriculum, planning and delivering high-quality lessons, and ensuring the progress and well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive English curriculum that meets the needs of our students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Lesson Planning: Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and developing strategies to support student improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of English teachers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, providing regular updates on student progress and well-being.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in English education and curriculum design.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English or a related field, with a strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English in a secondary school setting, with a proven track record of student progress and achievement.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of teachers.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
