Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified nurse to join our team as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Trainee. This is a full-time opportunity that will provide you with the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in public health nursing.

About the Role

As a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Trainee, you will be working in partnership with local service providers to develop and support services to children and families within schools and the local community. You will be responsible for leading the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme: From 5-19 years old, delegating to and supervising the work of the skill mix team.

You will work closely with a range of local children's agencies and professionals to provide health assessments for CSE, Mental Health, and safeguarding. Every day will be different, with a variety of responsibilities including working with children and families, developing and implementing health programs, and collaborating with other professionals.

Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified nurse with experience in community health and public health nursing. You will need to have a strong understanding of the Healthy Child Programme and experience of working with children and families. You will also need to have good communication and IT skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
