As a Gastroenterology Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing the day-to-day operations of the service, and participating in strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the service, including supervising undergraduates, doctors in training, and other colleagues
* Participate in strategic planning, including identifying errors and implementing changes to improve patient safety
* Engage with clinical governance and appraisal processes

Requirements:

* Entry on GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
* MRCP or equivalent qualification
* Broad range of experience in Gastroenterology, including diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy
* Experience of supervising undergraduates, doctors in training, and other colleagues
* Ability to offer and be accountable for full and independent expert diagnostic opinion
