About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Data Engineering team in delivering scalable and reliable data infrastructure solutions. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data infrastructure components to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of front-end and back-end engineers to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the SE/SRE function within our Analytics team.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of data infrastructure components.
  • Own CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes and streamline deployments.
  • Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Develop and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify potential issues.
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention in the data engineering workflow.
  • Foster effective collaboration with data engineering teams, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct capacity planning and scaling exercises to accommodate growing data volumes and changing business needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, SRE, or a related technical domain.
  • Strong expertise in data engineering technologies, cloud platforms, and data processing frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of SRE principles, reliability engineering, and best practices for building scalable, fault-tolerant systems.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, monitoring and alerting systems, and automated configuration management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating system issues.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
