About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Renal Technical Services team as a Renal Equipment Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a maintenance, repair, and support service for a wide range of renal devices, including highly complex, patient-critical equipment located in various clinical settings across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prioritize non-routine breakdown requests, working independently to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform commissioning and acceptance tests on newly purchased and loan equipment, ensuring compliance with Health Board and Departmental policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the Quality Management System, adhering to policies and processes, and work with autonomy within the post holder's assigned duties.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures, particularly in areas of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum relevant qualification/knowledge of medical device management/quality.
  • Experience in repair or maintenance of equipment, organising repair or maintenance, or IT systems experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, demonstrating a basic understanding of the value of safety and quality.
