Job Title: Principal Safety Assessment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Safety Assessment Specialist to join our team at Orion Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking nuclear hazard analysis (HAZAN) and developing safety cases for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake nuclear hazard analysis (HAZAN) to identify potential hazards and risks
  • Develop safety cases to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective risk management and safety case development
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients on safety case development and risk management
Requirements:
  • Experience in nuclear safety case writing and risk assessment
  • Strong understanding of HAZAN and safety case development principles
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
Desirable:
  • Degree or equivalent in a science-based/engineering subject
