Position Overview
Join our dedicated team responsible for the proactive management of maintenance, addressing defects and breakdowns, as well as executing scheduled maintenance tasks.
The role involves executing new construction and modification projects within the skill set of the individual, both during standard working hours and beyond.
The primary aim of this position is to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient maintenance services, including new construction and modifications, to safeguard the well-being of all patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
The following are some of the essential responsibilities associated with this role; the individual may also be tasked with additional duties relevant to similar positions:
1. Apply expertise in Mechanical, Plumbing, Carpentry, and Building trades to perform tasks on-site.
2. Collaborate with various trades personnel (joiners, plumbers, electricians, and fitters) to implement a comprehensive maintenance program that adheres to statutory, mandatory, and economic standards.
3. Independently carry out maintenance activities, including repairing building structures, fixing walls, replacing bed stops, handrails, constructing new partition walls, and removing or replacing old fixtures, ensuring all repairs are completed to a high standard, including painting and roof maintenance.
4. Participate in training for erecting and dismantling access scaffolding and platforms, as well as mobile platforms, to facilitate the execution of work programs.
5. Engage in training for accessing confined spaces to perform maintenance tasks in those areas.
6. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of plant rooms and workshops.
7. Conduct routine maintenance tasks as required.
8. Assist in the completion of minor project works within the individual's skill set.
