Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Global Market Access Director to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our Pricing and Market Access team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing global pricing and market access strategies for our growth engine assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Global Pricing and Market Access Strategies: You will be responsible for developing and implementing global pricing and market access strategies for our growth engine assets, including inhaled respiratory and wider assets in our GenMeds pipeline.
  • Address Reimbursement and Pricing Potential: You will address reimbursement and pricing potential for key markets, including the U.S, Japan, China, and Germany, as well as further markets in collaboration with regional pricing and access colleagues.
  • Develop and Roll-out Tools and Materials: You will develop and roll-out tools, materials, and training to support Local Operating Countries (LOCs) in their market access planning, activities, and engagements, to ensure patient access.
  • Obtain and Communicate Global Market Access Considerations: You will obtain and communicate global market access considerations, such as market research, contributing to evidence generation planning.
  • Incorporate Payer Insights and Market Access Expectations: You will incorporate payer insights and market access expectations into global forecasting exercises, in collaboration with regional counterparts.
  • Contribute to Integrated Asset Planning: You will contribute to Integrated Asset Planning and deliver the Market Access Plan, accounting for data, competitor, and environment evolution.
  • Collaborate with Other Functions: You will collaborate with other functions, such as Strategic Insights, Government Affairs, Commercial, Medical, and Region & LOC functions, to ensure a solid understanding of current markets and emerging stakeholders in the respiratory and anti-infectives reimbursement area.
  • Represent Payers and Market Access: You will represent payers and market access within the Global Brand team and the Global Medical Team.
  • Lead Project Management: You will lead project management with regards to purchasing support, opening of POs, ensuring appropriate documentation is in place in line with company procedures, and storage of pertinent documents to assigned projects.

Requirements:

  • Depth of Experience in Pricing and Market Access: You will have a depth of experience in pricing and market access, with a proven track record of developing and implementing global pricing and market access strategies.
  • Experience in Developing and Managing Market Access Strategies: You will have experience in developing and managing market access strategies globally, regionally, or in key markets, such as the U.S.
  • Knowledge of Pricing Policy and Regulations: You will have knowledge of pricing policy and regulations, as well as healthcare in key markets, ideally with respiratory and anti-infectives-specific expertise.
  • Understanding of Regulatory Agency Requirements: You will have an understanding of regulatory agency requirements or policies that govern market approval, and the impact on reimbursement decisions.
  • Degree Qualified in Science/Medicine/Business/Health Policy/Health Economics Discipline: You will be degree qualified in a Science/Medicine/Business/Health Policy/Health Economics discipline.
  • Ability to Influence and Communicate: You will have the ability to influence and clearly communicate across a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Analytical Skills: You will have demonstrable leadership, intrapersonal, critical thinking, and analytical skills to work with a variety of groups in ensuring that the strategic direction for market access and pricing is in balance with the market as well as corporate goals.
  • Strong Presentation and Written Skills: You will have strong presentation and written skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA/Masters in Scientific or Economic Area: You will have an MBA/Masters in a scientific or economic area, such as Health Economics.
  • Successful In-country Payer Engagement and Negotiation Experience: You will have successful in-country payer engagement and negotiation experience in priority markets, such as the U.S, China, Japan, and Germany.
  • Experience in Respiratory Disease and Inhaled Medications: You will have experience in respiratory disease, inhaled medications, and lifecycle management.
